People have asked what I'm doing to lose weight and get in shape, so I decided to give as much information as I can on the road I've taken towards a healthy lifestyle.

First of all, I want to say that there are no "secrets" to weight loss. The truth is it just takes time, perseverance, and determination. People in our society demand instant gratification, but if you want to develop a healthy lifestyle that will help you shine from the inside out, you need to be patientYou can't look for immediate results. Take one day at a time. Keep your focus on the fact that you will get to where you want to be. It may not be next week, or even 3 months from now. It may take a year or longer, but if you are following a healthy regimen, you will get there. 

Developing a healthy lifestyle has been a learning process for me. I've definitely made a few wrong turns when it came to figuring out how to live a healthy lifestyle (as you'll read in "My Story") because there is so much false information available on health and weight loss. It can be so confusing and misguiding! However, after researching many health programs and studying different foods and food groups, I have been able to formulate my own unique healthy plan that works best for me and my family. 

I am certainly not an expert on health and fitness, but my knowledge on the topic is expanding.  I am soaking in all the information I study each day and applying what I learn to my life. I also know that as time goes on, as new research develops, and as my knowledge on health broadens, I will have to adjust my health plan accordingly. It is an exciting journey though, and I'm so glad my healthy lifestyle will only get better as time goes on!
